Project Control Adviser, Project control management for upstream facilities engineering projects, seconded to Chevron. These projects range from $20MM to $100MM and were in pre-FEED and FEED phases. Activities included budgeting and cost reporting. Estimate reviews. Risk assessments and contract planning.

Cost Consultant Provided cost engineering services for the INVISTA Victoria Plant, during their 2010 ADN Unit outage. The work included $20MM worth of turnaround work items, maintenance work and small capital projects. Collected estimate data, schedule and progress information and actual man hours and cost information to combine and analyze in a performance-based cost forecasting effort. Also, other specialty subcontracts, equipment and material cost analysis and forecasting were performed. Similar duties were performed at the INVISTA Orange Plant, estimated value $40MM.
ONPOINT, Port Arthur, Houston, Texas City, Texas: April-2000 to September-2011
Project Control Lead, client representative on a $450MM Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel Unit capital expansion and associated unit upgrades at the Valero Refinery in Houston, and $2,000MM plant Expansion in Port Arthur, and $335MM Delayed Coker Unit capital expansion at the Valero Refinery in Texas City, Provide leadership to the team for the proper execution of the following items:
Develop Valero’s Project Controls Management Sections of Strategic Project Execution Plan
Analyze and make recommendations to improve on the Project’s Controls Plan; including Engineering, Procurement and Construction components
Develop cost forecasting system for tracking all project costs
Audit EPC contractor’s project controls and data collection systems; validate the information being reported
Coordinate and prepare schedules and progress measurement for project activities not being managed and/or executed by EPCs
