Chemical Reaction Engineering
Formulated a mathematical model to simulate the confiscation process for the purpose of optimizing selectivity in ethylene epoxidation within a catalytic-packed bed reactor. Conducted an analysis of the impact of temperature on reactor performance to determine the optimal temperature. Knowledge and experience in reaction kinetics.
Process Control Project
Created a dynamic model for the evaporator and simulated its behavior under various inputs. Designed a single feedback loop ID controller and evaluated its performance under multiple set points and disturbance variations. Constructed a model predictive controller (MPC) to assess the impact of varying controller parameters.
Process Design Project
Delegated the crucial responsibility of accomplishing the technical design and economic analysis of a facility that produces 300MT styrene/year to a highly capable team. Developed an intricate technical design of the facility utilizing the advanced software, ASPEN HYSYS, and determined the size and cost of all required equipment for the facility's construction. Developed plant energy and material balances, read PFDs, P&IDs, and understood of the hazards of the materials such as industrial solvents.
Safety and Chemical Engineering (SAChE)
Completed coursework with Safety and Chemical Engineering (SAChE) for training in Process Safety best practices, enabling avoidance of catastrophic consequences while engaging in real-life experiments.
