Primary responsibilities included:
Solicit proposals from interested civil engineers, geotechnical engineers, architects, and other professionals to prepare initial construction plans.
Meet with utility companies providing services that will be required by the project in the implementation of the work.
Identify all costs required for the successful completion of the project and prepare final construction costs for the Owners.
Make an application for civil and building permits from those agencies having jurisdiction.
Select and solicit potential general contractors & site contractors for bidding purposes and prepare and approve prime contracts.
Conduct preconstruction meetings and supervision of the project ensuring successful completion on schedule and on budget.
Work that was retained by my company included: sitework and everything 5’ outside the building lines including the clubhouse, the services of a pool engineer, ID for the clubhouse and model, and fitness room layout with equipment.
In recent years, I have developed and constructed wood frame 3 story walk up type buildings, 4 story walk up type buildings with elevators, fully enclosed buildings and communities of single units built for rent. All projects developed and built for sale.
