To whom it may concern,

I am currently residing in Kamloops and am a Thompson Rivers University (TRU) student

searching for part – time employment within sales in the Kamloops area.

As detailed below, I have a history in sales after completing my business university degree in the

Philippines. I had a successful sales position in retail at Philippines largest appliance franchise.

I also have a passion for beauty products

I am a hard-working individual. My priority is to customer service and to maximize customer

satisfaction. Within the last 12 months, I have met up with my partner from Australia, travelled 11

countries, got married in Australia and traveled to Canada to begin my new life. I’m enrolled to study a

degree in Marketing at Thompson Rivers University and aim to be a

successful sales representative on completion of my studies.

From a personal perspective I want to concentrate on studies and my career. I have no interest in

starting a family. If a vacancy arises I would appreciate the opportunity. I am ready to start

straight away.

Previous Experience – Imperial Appliance Plaza (2019 – 2021) – Product Sales Specialist

Imperial Appliance Plaza is a franchise within the Philippines with 100 stores with its beginnings

dating back to 1974. The company is the Philippines leading appliance store with their goal being

to provide quality appliances at an affordable price. The stores house items from all major

manufacturers such as Samsung, LG, Kelvinator, Sharp, and TLC.

I was employed at the Estancia Philippines branch for 18 months. My duties consisted of:

• Sales of:

o Washing Machines

o Fridges and Freezers

o Small Household Appliances such as microwaves, blenders, rice cookers etc.

o Ovens and cooktops

o Ducted, Split System and portable air conditioners.

o Televisions and Stands

o Home Theatre Systems and Sound Bars

o Stereos

o Lounges and Furniture

o Beds and Mattresses

• Responsible for the processing of product returns including communicating with the

suppliers.

• I was designated as the sole Sharp liaison regarding complaints.

• Managed product warranty issues including organising repairs.

• Trained staff regarding company processes and procedures including completion of

paperwork, forms, and spreadsheet updates on sales.

• I was responsible for teaching new employees sales techniques and product details.

• Organised backorders of products.

• I would contact other stores if a customer needed delivery to another city. I requested the

other store to deliver the product to the client from their stock after sending through the

appropriate sales paperwork.

• Organising mass orders at discounted rates for larger customers with businesses such as

hotels. I would sell 20 appliances at once per transaction as a lot of clients preferred to

come to me for sales assistance.

• I sold to other retailers in the region so they could on-sell the products to their customers.

• Every week I would be responsible for door to door promotion of our business to residential

addresses. Telling prospective clients about our business, the products we stock, and any

specials we might have in store or might be upcoming.

• Additional to above, once a week a group of sales staff including myself and our manager

would travel to different suburbs to promote our products. We would organise a meeting

with the mayor of each suburb to gain permission to display our products at public places. A

mobile display in a caravan of sorts was transported to each location where we would show

individual items we wanted to showcase to show the public new technologies and their

uses.

• Arranging promotional material in store.

• Setting up display models in store.

• Travel to Iloilo (4 hours return drive) for monthly face to face sales training every month.

Training was scheduled from 8am until 4pm. For each occasion transportation, meals and

accommodation was provided.

• Every 2 weeks virtual sales meetings to be attended. Meeting lasted 2 hours each time.

Achievements

• Every month management would hi-light which sales person achieved the most sales per

month. I was presented with the award five times during my18 month sales position at

Imperial Appliance Plaza. On each occasion a bonus was received equivalent to 2 weeks

pay (additional to my monthly sales bonus).

• My largest quantity sold in one transaction – 20 appliances. I was selling 20 appliances per

transaction to the same customer every 4 weeks for the last 12 months I was employed.

My sales only ceased because I left my place of work to meet up with my partner.

• Supervised and trained two staff members at the same time during my employment at

Imperial Appliances Plaza. On other occasions prior to this I was training one person at a

time.

• 2011 to 2015 - Completed Secondary Education – Dulangan Elementary School

Philippines.

• 2015 to 2019 - 4 Year Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Majoring in Marketing

– Capiz State University Philippines.

• 2015 to 2019 - Studied English – Capiz State University Philippines.

• 2019 – 5 day sales training seminar – Head Office Imperial Appliance Plaza Philippines.

• Currently - Studying English Degree – Thompson Rivers University – Expected Completion

2023.

• Future Studies - Post Baccalaureate Diploma in International Business Majoring in

Marketing – Thompson Rivers University – Already enrolled and paid. Expected

Completion 2025.
