Professional Experience
TranTech Engineering January 2024 – July 2024
Civil Engineering Intern Bellingham, WA
Worked an internship while finishing up classes for graduation. I helped in assisting the staff during my time here at Trantech. I started learning many of the processes that will be beneficial along the way of my career path. I assisted in many of the Civil 3D CAD drawings to help create plans. Learned more about standard specifications and standard plans and where to find what I’m looking for in a project. I also helped create and update estimates and quantities throughout the duration of any given project. I also worked on the Record of Materials for two different projects that the firm had completed in the past and prior to my internship. Lastly, I also worked on finalizing as-built plans received from contractors. I feel like I learned a lot during my internship and there are too many little things that can’t all be mentioned here.

CJ’S BEACH HOUSE & BLACK FOREST STEAKHOUSE February 2015 – September 2019
Server/Bartender Blaine, WA
The duties for my job were make sure every guest was taken care of in the best way possible. There are two very distinct seasons here, with summer being very busy, and winter being moderately slow. Durning the winter season servers wore many hats and had to be the host, server, and bartender. This was very challenging and rewarding at the same time because it always made me want to be better. Server’s also had to know the area fairly well because many of the guests were just visiting the area and would have to give advice and directions quite frequently. Of course the job also entailed the basic server duties that servers must know, greeting, menu knowledge, beer and wine, food delivery, and trying to resolve problems before any occurred.

I learned a great deal about a variety of products to help deliver on customer needs and expectations. I greatly improved my customer service skills while I was employed here. There were many times we didn’t have the right product for the customer at the store I worked at, when this happened I would always attempt to find the right place to get it, sometimes this meant helping out other businesses. I led a small group of 3 individuals monitoring and establishing their sales metrics while giving direction to maintain the best looking store possible. We were all really proud of the way the store looked. Other responsibilities included in the job were receiving and putting away stock orders and inventory validation.
