I have over 25 years experience providing direct care to the dual diagnosed population. Starting my career with San Luis Obispo County Behavioral Health in 2004, I accepted a position on the Psychiatric Health Facility where I spent 5 years providing direct services to the severely mentally ill. My tasks included mental health assessment and evaluation, 5150 assessments and safety planning, intensive case management, medication administration and detoxification, formulating care plans, and discharge planning. During my 18 years with the department, I was promoted 4 times and provided intensive case management to the most difficult to treat clients in the system.
