Investigated facility’s acceptance of an unknown material: Thorough chemical analysis revealed it as Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA), a highly fluorinated carboxylic acid, known for its exceptional stability and persistence both environmentally as well as biologically. Established emergency response handling procedures for the safety of personnel including documentation of incident, proper disposal as a hazardous waste, and notification of EPA where a ban of PFOA was already in the works, effective 2015.
Conducted qualitative and quantitative experiments in the developmental stages of KD-5, the company's first patented fuel blend.
Coordinated oil refineries cleanup including performing site assessment, developing cleanup plan, employing remediation techniques, and performing crude oil refining processes to create usable fuel.
