Responsibilities include planning the purchasing of certain commodity requirements for the LNG & FLNG
Exchangers being manufactured at the Wilkes Bare, Pa. facility.
Planning the purchasing and scheduled deliveries for the thin wall alum tubing that is wound on the bundles inside the exchangers. Some of these exchangers require over 7,000 miles of this tubing. Planning is critical due to space availability and other constraints.
Reviewing and preparing the purchase requirements for the welded aluminum & stainless steel pipe, this requires determining the thickness, (.50 inch up to 3.0 inch) length of various pipes, amount required and the delivery requirements.
Purchase the necessary aluminum & stainless steel elbow & fitting that are required by exchanger per the MRP and the BOM.
Process all external orders & sub contract orders that require machining, beveling & welding, along with other processes. These types of orders require many steps to fulfill the needs. Examples: determining if the plate stock is available in house or does it have to be purchased from the preferred/approved supplier. In both cases
arrangements to ship the plate to the supplier is needed and the purchase order is placed and followed up based on
the delivery dates needed.
Managed demand and planned the purchase of all specialty hardware and the fasteners for the various gas exchangers.
Weekly schedules were updated for the addition and completed of work orders.
Handled all contracts for the commodities that I sourced and developed.

Responsible for purchasing operations for a global pump manufacturing company which included Fybroc/Sethco, (Fiberglass Pumps) & Dean Pump (Ductile Iron, Steel, Aluminum & Brass Casting Pumps) in Indianapolis, IN.
Conducted daily production meetings with assembly supervision to set production schedules based on requested delivery dates from customer orders (open order report) and available components.
Purchasing responsibilities included sourcing new suppliers for castings, seals, machined shafts, motors, and fabrications.
Cost reduction programs included sourcing in China for motors, casting, machined shafts and fabrications for the pump assemblies.
Cost savings averaged between 25% and 30% of current cost.

My responsibilities for the construction team were management for the construction sites from the beginning of construction thru commissioning.
Site set up for new Wind Farm construction, working with various agencies to obtain permits, licenses and other approvals to begin construction.
Preparing agreements and contracts for trailers to be used for temporary offices, office furniture, equipment to support construction either minor or major items.
Setting up the electrical requirements, telephone services for communication and internet service.
Sourcing temporary regional services from Porta Potty requirements to extra labor requirements such as electricians, laborers and professional personnel.
Also worked with suppliers for added equipment during and after installation, i.e. elevators for the towers, heavy duty hoists for service requirements and ladders.
Special projects included managing the fleet vehicle program that consisted of both management and wind farm vehicles.
Set up a national program for flame retardant clothing for all employees working in the nacelles that would be working with high voltage. This was a major cost saving from the company purchasing these flame retardant clothing to have a lease program that delivered clean uniforms bi-weekly and picked up the soiled uniforms for cleaning.
Worked closely with logistics to set up transportation needs to and from vendors and wind farm sites.
Sourcing all cranes required for construction in the US for the Wind Farm construction.

Gear box management and controls, developed and initiated cost reduction measures and implemented these suggestions to achieve quarterly cost reductions.

Mechanical Commodity including Castings, Forgings, Machining and Metal Fabrications for Nacelles & Hub Assembly.
Worked very closely with the Global Management team in Spain to source more products in Asia, Brazil and Mexico and North America.
Key member of the regional CSM Team working with Engineering and SQE, to identify additional items to nationalize and homologate locally.
. Formalized all contracts that fell under my responsibility ie: Forgings, Machinings, and Metal fabrications.
Gamesa Accomplishments:
Developed new source of supply for Machined Forging and Ductile Castings in Asia and Brazil from source identification to homologation completion.
Implemented consignment of major commodities, i.e. Machined Castings from Asia, Machined Main Shafts, and Gear boxes from Europe.
Within the last 2 years managed to localize 20% annually and reduce cost an average of 8 -10% on major commodities.
Developed a new US supplier of crane hoist for the Nacelles that were UL approved instead of importing this item from Europe that was not UL approved.
Negotiated transportation contracts where necessary that realized 10 to 15% savings annually

Responsible for managing, controlling, organizing and monitoring all activities pertaining to the identification, solicitation, award and administration of cutting edge suppliers for new generation of machinery for the world's largest wire and ball bonding machinery manufacturer.
Specific functions included integrating and interfacing with business systems such as engineering, Material planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Additional responsibilities included developing competitive sources of supply, interpreting supplier responses and negotiating contracts, changes and deviations. Controlling inventories through Kanban and Just - in - Time deliveries, executive presentations of supplier's performance and general development and administration of OEM contracts.
Accomplishments:
Developed and nurtured partnerships with suppliers in Singapore for key sub assemblies prior to moving the complete integration of machines from Willow Grove to Singapore.
Negotiated yearly contracts for pure beryllium worldwide for consumption in the investment casting of linear motion table components, also negotiated cost for investment casting these highly engineered parts.
Additional commodities that were negotiated were injection molded components along with respective resins that were formulated specifically for these applications, sheet metal, metal assemblies, cable assemblies and circuit board assemblies.
Became very knowledge of the legal aspects of contracts and terms and conditions.
