Supervise and maintain approximately 120 court reporters and digital court reporters along with their direct supervisors
Review and accommodate court orders received by judge's scheduling department adding or collapsing a court term. Making sure the court reporters' schedules reflected the change
Run numerous reports regarding court reporters for our State Court Administrator and the Chief Justice of South Carolina Compile a running list of available court reporters who can be sent out to replace other court reporters in cases of emergency or sickness so that court could continue operating as normal
Annual/Sick/Family, etc. Leave – Check the court reporter's web page to make sure all sick leave, annual leave and comp time were taken and logged properly
Approve court reporters' travel
Correspond with Judges, court reporters, attorneys, Clerks' of Court to ensure that court terms ran properly
Fill open vacancies for court reporters and vacancies in the court reporting section at Court Administration
Assign court reporters to terms of court six months at a time. Add the court reporter assignments to the online court calendar located at sccourts.com . Check the assignments to make sure that all court terms are covered by a court reporter
Work with Clerks' of Court to obtain interpreters when needed. Receive transcript requests for the digital recording systems and WebEx hearing. Process these requests by locating the hearings, downloading the audio and notes from the digital system or WebEx and sending those hearings to a transcriptionist or court reporter to produce a transcript Correspond with inmates regarding transcripts, hearing dates, sitting judges and court reporters
Help the court reporters in court hearings where there is going to be an abundance of exhibits, witnesses and/or high-profile matters Implement and develope with our IT Team the digital court recording program. Serve on the committee for the new TECH Project that is being developed and implements across the state of South Carolina Completed shopping carts in SCEIS for new items that were purchased for these projects

INFORMATION
I was the primary representative from South Carolina Court Administration in Colleton County for six weeks in January and February 2023 for the trial of State v. Richard Alexander Murdaugh. My duties were to assist the court reporters with over 800 exhibits to make sure they were present and accounted for each day. Assisted the Judge, Clerk of Court and attorneys in who were present to make sure that court ran smooth and uninterrupted on a daily basis. Operated the digital recording equipment each day so that I could process and deliver daily unofficial transcripts to those who submitted requests. Certified through the Eighth Judicial Circuit Juvenile Arbitration Program as a Juvenile Arbitrator with the Solicitor's Office.
