Role: Project Manager
As Project Manager for SAP ECC upgrade project for a midstream Oil and Gas pipeline company, managed an SAP Upgrade, database change and instance consolidation project that accomplished a number of key objectives – Consolidation of two separate instances onto a single server with two separate clients, Migration from MAXDB to Oracle database, Migration to new HP hardware, and Upgrade from SAP R/3 4.7 to ECC 6.0 for the FI, CO and AM modules. Reviewed and approved all business process design, configuration, and functional specification documentation; and defined resource budget requirements and staffed resources for the on-shore technical team. He also supported external SOX system audits.
During the course of the oil and gas upgrade project, Mr. Fragoso won an engagement to manage the implementation of the SAP MM and IM modules and Sabrix Taxware solution. He was responsible for realigning current MM business/functional processes and the global rollout of the solution. He managed a team of 12 consultants that successfully designed, developed and implemented the SAP AP, MM, and IM modules, connecting two SAP R/3 systems and supporting over 450 end users. Mr. Fragoso also managed and identified potential gap areas within the SAP solution that required building custom Z-table objects to interface Sabrix and SAP. He delivered the project on time and under budget.
Mr. Fragoso also served as Project Manager for three utility projects that implemented CCS 4.7 and SAP ECC 6.0, that supported the FI, CO, GIS, MM, PP, SD, and BW modules. He was responsible for the utilities back office transformation that integrated mobile devices to field personnel that utilized portal applications. He utilized SAP’s ASAP development methodology, Microsoft Project, and SAP global templates. All utility projects were managed independently using common templates and methods, and the three utility projects were delivered on time and on budget with approximately thirteen consultants and six off-shore consultants.

For a major computer leasing company, Mr. Fragoso was the Project Manager on an SAP Leasing (LAE) implementation. He was responsible for the analysis of three global computer leasing environments and the design, development and implementation of a global computer leasing solution. As Project manager with a team of 15 consultants, he created an industry focused SAP LAE (computer leasing) solution that interfaced with the FI/CO, MM, PP, BA and SD modules utilizing ASAP methodology and various project tool sets. He was also responsible for moving the client from an SAP Hosting environment to the Client Hosting environment. He managed a $7 million project budget for the initial rollout.

Mr. Fragoso was Project Manager at a global automotive supplier, for a project where the key objective was to centralize three SAP FI/CO environments to a single global chart of accounts and one global environment. During the project, he was asked to change the scope of the project to centralize SAP FI/CO processing from five countries to two and move to a single global chart of accounts. He managed eight SAP consultants and 13 clients Subject Matter Experts (SME); utilized SAP’s ASAP methodology and conducted global design/requirements work sessions to create a single global template. He was also responsible for creating the project plan and scope, timelines, and a budget totaling over $3 million.

For a global Life Sciences company, Mr. Fragoso was the Project Manager responsible for the successful implementation of a solution developed by another system integrator. The task was to take over and assume primary responsibility for FI/CO, MM, PP, SD development. Mr. Fragoso led the effort to evaluate the actual progress to-date of the project, re-define the scope based on the actual progress of the project, update budget and timeline assumptions, integrate the project team with key consulting resources asked to remain on the project under account management, integrate the ‘new’ consulting team with the customer project team, design and drive a knowledge transfer strategy to bring the ‘new’ team up to-date with the custom solution, and kick-off the remaining effort to continue the project. Once the transition was completed, Mr. Fragoso supervised the consulting team through the completion of development in support of scenario testing to complete the transition.

Mr. Fragoso managed the successful implementation of 3 ECC Upgrade projects, also managed FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, and migration of several warehouse/global suppliers to single location for this specific competition in support of joint strike fighter competition for the US Dept of Defense. He was responsible for managing detailed project plans and integrating status reporting, remote hosting coordination and integrating overall project requirements for FI/CO, SD, MM, PP. He coordinated DOD validation documentation requirements, coordinated project efforts with the GAO team to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and directed the efforts of the Functional, Training, Change Management sub-project managers. In addition, he provided direct management over the Development, Security, Basis and Validation teams, and was the project liaison with the Integration Partner remote Hosting and Production Support teams. Mr. Fragoso advised customer project managers on day-to-day project issues, and he successfully managed the on-time go-live of the Wave 1 financial and procurement project and transition to remote hosting and application support. He provided guidance around the re-evaluation of the project strategy to adapt a global template to a North American Strick Fighter solution to be used in future North American competitions, and assisted global IT management in re-defining fast track implementations. He led project efforts during reconstituted Project Preparation and Business Blueprint Phases, led project Realization Phase activities through Round 1 Integration Testing and managed remote hosting transition issues.
