Work Experience:
TTM Technologies Stafford Springs, CT. Oct. 2022 to Nov. 2023
First Piece, In Process, and Final Inspection.
Dimensional and Visual inspection of mounting plates and circuit boards for military applications.
Used a CMM, height stands, calipers, mics, gauge pins, etc.
Filled out inspection reports, attach bubble prints, file on the computer, and forward to various personnel.
Often had to use my maching experience to fix parts to pass, and explain non conformances to manufacturing.
G.W.S. Tooling Springfield, MA. Nov. 2021 to Sept. 2022
CNC Operator
Set up and operate CNC machines for tool grinding.
Inspected parts using O.D. Micrometers and Optical Comparator.
Smith & Wesson Springfield, MA. April 2011 to July 2021.
CNC Operator
Set up and operate CNC Machining Centers,Turning machines, and EDM's. Along with my own machines, I kept a RoboDrill cell running that had 3 operators. I trained several people in the department on the machine operations, preventative maintenance, and inspection(s) I worked closely with different engineers to resolve various issues with tooling, fixturing, etc. I also ran manual machines including Bridgeports, Broaching, and Drill Presses. I made multiple recommendations for safety and process improvement that the company followed through with. I had at times done secondary ops such as de-burring and tumbling. I was responsible for my own inspections, tool changes, PM's and some recordkeeping. Inspection equipment used includes Parlec tool setter, micrometers, calipers, plug gages, test indicators, height stands, optical comparator, and CMM.Tolerances were typically +/- .001, sometimes +/- .003. I became the “Go To” operator for re-work as I understood editing programs, and how to bring dimensions into tolerance.
Conval Inc. Somers, CT. Sept. 2008 to April 2011
CNC Operator
Set up and operate Mori Seki CNC Lathe and a Dae Woo CNC Dual Spindle Turning Machine with live tooling. On occasion, I also used a Bridgeport milling machine, drill press, secondary ops, de-burring etc., and time in the stock room. I trained a few individuals on the lathe and correct usage of the inspection tools. On occasion, I would work with engineering, the programmer, and the production supervisor proving out a new process. I often contributed to the company “GOOD IDEA” program with suggestions for safety in my area.
Inspection equipment used included O.D., I.D., and Depth micrometers, calipers, height stands, test indicators, gage pins/balls, and an optical comparator. Tolerances were generally +/- .002, with one feature (Dia.) never more than +/- .0005
US Tsubaki Automotive Chicopee, MA. Oct. 2001 to Aug. 2008
Set up and operate assembly turntable machine, riveting. packaging.
Visual inspection on secondary ops. (polishing)
