SR. FINAL INSPECTOR SPECIALIST

Perform final inspection for the following connectors: Circular, D38999, Hermetic, High-Speed, Backshells, D-Sub, Power, and Rectangular. Verify and ensure that connectors are built to MIL- STD-38999, 5015, 26482, and 83723. Review and approve incoming materials, in process production and finished product per sampling plans. Review purchase order requirements including documentation.

Prepare and manage FAI inspection report and submit the product to (DCMA) Government Source Inspectors as well as Aerospace Source inspectors. Request source inspection activities directly on the customer websites for Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, TTI, L3, Honeywell, and many others. Review and prepare customer C of C, material certs, shipping and internal documents. After completed source inspection, ship the product to the above clients as listed.

Fully understand the requirements of the standard AS9102, create/ review and approve FAIRs. Prepare and process First Article reports on AS9102 Forms. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Review and approve suppliers’ documentation, customer C of C, First Article Inspection Reports, Material Certification, Test Reports, packing list to ensure that quality standards are enforced. Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by the department Manager. Perform visual, mechanical and final inspection, utilizing a variety of precision measuring equipment and inspection tools such as, Calipers, Micrometers, Depth Gages, Surface Plate and computer programs to ensure that finished products meet customer specifications and blueprints. Monitor equipment and prepare tools for outside calibration. Ability to Read & Interpret Blueprints, Traveler/Routers, Work instructions, Bills of Material & Wire List, collaborate with engineering and production leads to ensure quality standards are in place. Experience working with (ITAR) International Traffic in Arms Regulations and the Export Administration Regulations.

Knowledge and experience with IPC / WHMA-A-620 and J-STD Soldering Standard. Inspect incoming and outgoing Cable/Harness assemblies in Aerospace and Military Applications. Act as an authorized delegate for the customer and Manufacturer, comply with delegation activities and requirements to maintain the delegation authority. Utilize and enhance ERP/ Quality Software system to create reports, material certification, test reports, packing slip. Able to work with manufacturing lead, supervisor and management. Interface and communicate well with other departments such as engineering, planning, and purchasing to get the products shipped in a timely manner.

Prepare Work station, BOM and the parts list on the line per clients’ requirement. Install Wire Harness, solder pins into the connectors and checked Electrical & Mechanical functions of the connectors. Review Bom, Shop traveler of Electronics components. Inspect PCB’s assemblies to meet the requirement per MIL-STD 750 & 883 and IPC 610. VENTURA ELECTRONICS CORPORATION – Simi Valley, CA Mar. 2001 – Oct 2003 SENIOR MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY LEAD

Managed 45 assembler, building Air Borne switches from start to finish in accordance applicable instructions such as production Orders, purchase orders, drawings schematics, specification, and workmanship standards. Assemble pressure Actuator and Digrfm on the line. Assemble Air Borne Switch, using Mechanical tools, Speedy grinder, Air gun, Flat & Phillip screw driver, various drill sizes, Vibrator, Ellen keys, Feeler gages. Check switches range from 1PSI to 1500 PSI. Check air and Hydraulic pressure of the switches. Perform Torque operation per assembly drawing. Follow Mechanical assembly drawings, specifications and critical work instructions. Work with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and AS9100 quality systems. Responsible for evaluating production schedules and submit finished assemblies to final QC. Work with BOM and part numbers to validate the correct materials are on the assembly line. HARMAN INTERNATIONAL – Northridge, CA Feb 1993 – Nov 2000 Sr. Final Quality Inspector

Perform receiving inspection, mechanical parts, components, assemblies and materials. Including purchased parts, in-process and the final assemblies and materials for workmanship and conformance to specification/ drawings. Utilize standard inspection tool such as Dial Indicator, Height gages, Dial Calipers, Thread Gages, Micrometers, go no go gages. Provide Quality support to manufacturing, planning and test department. Performs audits and create inspection report of suppliers, authorizing delivery of accepted materials to Harman International.

NORTHROP ELECTRONICS - Hawthorne, CA Apr 1985 – Mar 1992 ASSEMBLY LEAD INSPECTION

Provided supervision and technical direction to 53 employees in building micro-electronic surface mount and plated thru hole PCB assemblies, as well as Hybrid assembly in a 3000 clean room environment. Performed inspection of SILICON WAFER MATERIAL to identify defects created during the manufacturing process, in particular inspected for scratches, tool marks, voids or overall damage per MIL-STD 883. Train employees to inspect for proper soldering of components and hybrid assembly per MIL-STD 2000 and workmanship standard and manufacturing specifications. Provided training to employees to install RF and Flex harness cables on the boards with the proper solder techniques per engineering specification and the assembly drawing. Participated in the review and disposition of non-conformal material MRB Liaison Engineering and coordinated with manufacturing department to provide cause and corrective action per MIL-STD 1520C.
