WORK EXPERIENCE & GOALS:
I’ve been working full time as a general sonographer at San Mateo Medical Center since August 20, 2018. San Mateo Medical is a county hospital. We receive a variety of exams and see patients of all types. A typical day can include ER, and ICU exams as well as inpatients, referrals, and walk-in’s. I am responsible for setting up, stocking and maintaining equipment in the ultrasound rooms. I pick up and identify the correct patient, explain the exam and why it is being done, answer any questions, perform exams, and present my findings to a radiologist. I answer any questions the radiologist might have and then track the exam. Exams done include abdomen, small parts, and OBGYN. Besides these exams I assist radiologists with breast biopsy’s and wire locs. While working at SMMC I have received the “Above and Beyond” recognition award (05/26/2019), and participated in an improvement charter helping to setup ultrasound services at the Fair Oaks Adult Health facility. I am highly motivated and dedicated to excellences. I am a member of the ARDMS and have my RDMS(AB OB/GYN). I would like to obtain additional credentials, and am looking to pass my RVT. EDUCATION:
