Facilities/Maintenance/VS Manager - $50M Specialty Connector and Harness manufacturer. Provides specialty connectors and harnesses for satellite, military/defense and aerospace industries. Responsibilities: managing 5 departments; facilities, maintenance, machine shop, braiding, and injection molding. The maintenance group provides support for 3 value streams and the facilities. The capitol facility projects I managed were implementation of all new security cameras, badge readers, lunchroom/lobby, installation of a new vapor degreaser machines, new cubicles for salary employees, and facility improvements for insurance reduction. Managed all production and DL in the machine shop for 2 shifts of 40 people. 20 Swiss CNC machines, 10 - 3 axis CNC machines and 40 NC machines, OEE data, DL efficiency, KPI management, CI initiatives and metrics. Managed all production and DL for 64 single and dual deck 16 and 24 carrier braiding machines. Managed all production and DL for 8 boy molding machines that mold silicone and press graphite. Strong Microsoft Office abilities. (Company up for sale, laid off due to downsizing.)

Beemak - La Mirada, Ca. 10/20 to 6/22

Plant Manager - $20M POP Display Manufacturer, creating fully finished Point of Purchase displays for the consumer industry. The product is made with Acrylic, Polycarbonate, and PETG plastics. The graphics department prints direct to surface, 2nd surface, either digitally or via silk screening. My responsibilities for the 100-person operation included: Engineering, Production, Graphics, Inventory, Shipping, and Receiving departments as well as the entire facility. The operation includes 3- and 5-axis routers full assembly, fabrication, packing and shipping operations. Implemented a safety program as part of the CERS certification. In process value stream mapping and SOP development. Implementation of facilities improvements and sale of capital equipment. HR functions include culture change, mentoring, department reorganization, corrective action, hiring, and dismissal. (Company shut down to due lack of sales)

Hyatt Die Casting – Cypress, Ca. 1/18-10/20

Plant Manager - Full P&L responsibilities for a $37M die casting manufacturer. The operation creates fully finished parts that were cast, machined, and finished by as many as 15 operations for Commercial Aerospace, Defense, Medical and Gaming industries. Responsibilities were for the 220 people in the operation and the 3 sites with 19 high-pressure die casting machines, 27 CNC machines, full wash and powder coat line, and mechanical assembly lines for finished product. Also implemented capital expenditure for equipment. Implementation of facilities improvements and decommissioning of one site. Worked in concert with the QA department to achieve ISO certification. Acquisition of 4 talented managers to improve operations with a 25% EBITA increase my first year. (Recruited by Beemak after 20% pay cut)

M&H Electric Fabricators - Santa Fe Springs, Ca 7/15 - 11/17

Operations Manager - Full P & L responsibility for a $10M manufacturer of reproduction wiring harnesses, battery cables and switches for Classic Muscle Cars including installation. Oversaw a staff of 100 workers. Responsible for all purchasing, engineering, quality assurance, customer service and human resources. Revise BOMs and SOPs for cost and process time savings. Implemented a FIFO system to reduce inventory resulting in a 25% cost reduction year over year. Through normal attrition, reduced headcount by 15% while sales increased 5%. Reduced lead time from 18 weeks to 4 through process improvement (DOE) and employee training. (Laid off due to lack of sales)

CTP Transportation Products (Carlisle Companies) - Ontario, Ca. 7/10 – 5/15

Value Stream Manager - Steel wheel manufacturer, Instrumental in product and process development. Managed cross fictional teams in sales, marketing, manufacturing, and QA for product introduction. Full charge of production management, responsible for 100+ employees and 5 departments, including assembly, finishing, boxing, shipping and receiving as well as facilities management of two 50,000 sq. ft. buildings. Implemented lean process continuous improvements of a high production, low mix steel wheels producing 7,000 pieces per day. Lean initiatives account for a 30% reduction in assembly line personnel and ROI of a 100k capex project in the finishing department at 2.50 years. Had been the previous Quality Assurance Manager of this facility less than 2 years prior. 220 employees, four 50,00 sq. ft. buildings with annual sales of $25M. (Company sold and moved to S.C.)

A&M Machine Works – Pomona, Ca. 3/05-4/10 Owner / GM - Cast and forged multi-piece wheel manufacture. Responsibilities included customer service to design, develop and manufacture new products. Created manufacturing process for new product assembly of aluminum and plastic products. Direct CNC programmers, machinist, and assembly personnel on production floor. Developed and stabilized relationships with raw material vendors, negotiated plans on price with delivery schedules. Evaluated and purchased small and large capital equipment for production improvement. Facilities management and permit acquisition from city management. (Business shut down and sold)
