My strengths and academic persuasion as a Doctor of Ministry, with a concentration on chaplaincy, highlight me as a more influential and professional chaplain. I will support the satisfaction of patients and families and the spiritual direction of the organization. I am competent in conflict resolution, spiritual and mental health support, and caring, healing, and reviving ministry. Conflict Resolution
My conflict resolution starts with listening. Listening allows me to gather the necessary information to understand the person's needs. In this way, I can provide appropriate guidance. As a missionary, pastor, and educator, I have resolved conflicts in various settings and populations. My most recent conflict resolution involved miscommunication between two pastors. The emotional struggles between the pastors led to misunderstandings of one another, amplifying the relational troubles. My strategy in resolving the conflict involved facilitating the communication between the two pastors and clarifying the facts. As a result of my effort, the relationship was restored between the pastors and the church members. Spiritual and Mental Health Support
As a minister, I have provided spiritual and mental health for the church members and students/families of my martial arts academies. For example, during my ministry-based martial arts education for over 20 years, I have helped people with autism, cultural instability, and ADHD build mentality, social skills, and confidence. My thorough effort in building them up involved understanding the individuals, including their being, feelings, and environment, to help them recover and strengthen spiritually and mentally.
Caring, Healing, and Reviving Ministry
I am dedicated to helping and caring for people with suffering and pain. My passion for serving people came from losing my parents to cancer when I was young. I shared the pain of my parents' suffering and loss of health, hope, and even faith in God. I was desperate to do whatever I could to help them while feeling hopeless about not knowing what to do. However, my theological and ministerial education and experiences have taught me compassion toward suffering people and ways to care for, heal, and revive them.
My academic pursuit of a Doctor of Ministry degree reinforces my vision to be a more influential and professional counselor, minister, and chaplain.
