1998 - 2021

I was the Lead Supervisor in charge of staff and youth at the juvenile hall for 21 years. For 17 years I was the Lead Supervisor for the 16 to 18 year old boys and for 3 years and 6 months I was the Lead Supervisor for the female youth 12 to 18. For 6 months I was an institution service manager.

I was also a lead instructor for defensive tactics, a program Director andp Lead Trainer. I was in charge of the planning, assigning, directing and review of the work of my team of Group Supervisors in a unit on an assigned shift at the Youth Services Center. I supervised, counseled and guided the 30 youth in my care and I supervised, delegated and worked with 3 to 5 staff members on my assigned unit. My strengths are :

• De escalation is always the goal. I would much rather use my counseling skills, verbal judo and mental abilities to calm any situation.

• Because of my Coaching background I have dealt with every race, culture, stressful situation, youth who have mental health issues and personality disorders.

• Being respectful to all youth, including transgender youth and by what adjectives they would like to be addressed by.
