Formula SAE Electric Team – Texas A&M University July 2023 – Present Battery Electronics Engineer

• Engineered a voltage-monitoring precharge circuit to enhance the tractive system's safety, achieving a 90% charge and limiting a large inrush current to the motor controller upon vehicle start up with components rated for 500V applications.

• Developed the vehicle’s discharge circuit to drain the motor controller’s charge from 500V to 60V using exclusively analog electronic components upon shutdown of the vehicle.

• Created electronics compartment which houses 7 crucial items inside the accumulator container, optimizing it for ease of maintenance, space given, and efficient wire routing using 3D CAD software and additive manufacturing techniques.

• Managed CNC Waterjet operations for precise cutting of components across all sub teams for the vehicle. ESET Senior Capstone Project – Texas A&M University August 2023 – May 2024 Mechanical & Test Engineer

• Collaborated with a group of 5 engineering students to showcase the performance of the ESET department’s new microcontroller selection by developing 2 showcase projects which will serve as a lab curriculum guide for the upcoming semesters.

• Designed and manufactured the structure for both projects, a puzzle box and obstacle avoidance robot, utilizing 3D printing to ensure durability and precise fit.

• Conducted extensive circuit debugging to identify electrical issues in the printed circuit boards, significantly improving the projects’ reliability and performance. Agriculture Robot Research – Texas A&M University September 2023 – January 2024 Undergraduate Student Research

• Contributed to the development of a robot designed for large-scale crop scanning, integrating a suite of components including controllers, linear actuators, and sensors for enhanced agricultural efficiency and precision.

• Developed and implemented a streamlined manufacturing process for the construction of robotic legs to ensure high quality production.

• Created and programmed a comprehensive circuit schematic and control code for the operation of the linear actuators and the time-of-flight sensors utilizing the ESP32 microcontroller. PROJECTS

PD Controller

Class Project for Control Systems, Fall 2023

• Constructed a line following robot, integrating various electronics, and utilized a PD controller to significantly enhance the robot’s speed and maneuverability, and thereby improving course completion efficiency and minimizing turning errors.

Testing Harness

FSAE EV Apprentice Project, Spring 2023

• Crafted a specialized circuit using a microcontroller to monitor the state of the Insulation Monitoring Device (IMD) and the state of charge of the battery through the Battery Management System (BMS), prioritizing the safety of the battery pack. Demonstrated the circuit’s efficacy by successfully achieving a 10kW draw through a load bank test.
