Cedartown Middle School
Two years sixth grade language arts and reading in the general education setting. One year resource and inclusion ELA. Three years teaching Social Studies. I work collaboratively and independently, use time efficiently, supply shared lesson plans for sixth grade teachers and students. I am driven by intrinsic personal motivation until all tasks are complete.
I learn and successfully implement new trends, and teaching strategies, including implementation of new technology platforms and skills acquired in professional learning.
My teaching experience involves working both individually and in a cooperative setting, keeping successful working relationships with students, co-workers, administration, and the community I serve.
McClure Middle School
Seven years, in Paulding County Georgia, serving special education students.
Academic areas include small group reading and study skills grades 6-8. Inner-related, social studies, language arts, and physical science, grades 6-8.
Additionally served students as a para-professional at the high school level for world history and biology.
Experienced in preparing lesson plans, keeping student records, communicating effectively with administration, faculty, and caregivers. Well versed in special education laws, data collection, writing and implementing individual education programs (IEP’S)
Four years of experience with the “Teach American History Grant” TAH GRANT Training included direct instruction from professors, authors, and researchers educating forty teachers from the Paulding County School District. Implementation of document-based questioning DBQ’s incorporated in daily lessons across the curriculum.
