Skills

During my course of education, I have experienced many useful skills that I will be using in my future career. Such as use of micropipettes, isolating pure cultures, studying growth of microbes while identifying and classifying using Bergey’s Manual and credited research publications.

Using staining techniques such as gram, acid-fast, and endospore for classification of microbes. Using selective and differential media to isolate and classify microbes.

Use of spectrometers in both biochemistry and organic chemistry courses to identify proteins and amino acids.

Use of pH meter along with necessary agents to help isolate protein of interest.

Use of Excel to produce scatter plots, bar graphs, and using data to generate mathematical formulas.

Conducting designed experiments and producing thorough laboratory reports.
