Technical Architect
A proof of concept engagement to design, implement and migrate a HPUX 11.0 legacy systems on a PA-RISC platform
to a HP Itanium based platform running HPUX 11v3. The U.S.P.T.O. had experienced a huge financial loss when their
legacy systems experienced an extended outage, where all patents were entered manually for months on end till systems
were recovered. I was tasked to mitigate risk and impact due to any further outages, design a upgrade path for internal
proprietary applications developed and compiled on a PA-RISC platform. Phase I entailed design, purchase and acquisition
of HP Itanium systems, bare metal installs, and utilization of HP Aries Emulator to port binaries within HP Containers.
Phase II consisted of HP Service Guard implementation for HP Container builds, final Phase III was production cutover.

Systems Administrator
As a Unix Consultant, my role was to assess and document the state of HP and Sun environments at GE appliances.
Once all legacy equipment had completed a thorough audit, including all Service Guard clusters across the HP/Sun
landscape, updates and patches where applied, MC/SG nodes and packages were decommissioned, consolidated and
migrated. Also migrated from EMC storage to HP 3Par. Once audit was complete my role transitioned to system
administration, working with Oracle, Centrify AD, Networker, performance tuning, O/S and application upgrades.

location, including decommissioning legacy hardware, and/or repurposing existing HP servers ranging from Superdomes 1 & 2, to entry
level PA-RISC and Itanium Blade servers,, provided upgrades solutions, project planning, vendor relations, maintenance, and support of
