Direct QA for Akamai’s Core ESSL/Free Flow/Crypto Content Distribution Networks. This includes new feature testing, performance and COGS measurement, automation, bi-weekly release deployments, ALSI upgrades, Platform Pack certification, production escalations and certifications such as SOX, FIPS, PCI and Fedramp. Coverage includes metadata and content delivery, encryption, analytics, logging, and certificate provisioning for solutions that run-in large scale cloud environments.

Key Achievements:

Built a high performing distributed organization from 8 to 19 engineers across locations in the US and India. Expanded charter from ESSL network ownership to include the FF and crypto networks and certification of base platform packs including Linux kernels and ALSI Debian’s.

Reduced the release cadence of ESSL/FF from 4 weeks to 2, decreasing the time to market for key customer features. Devised and implemented a sandbox feature release model to achieve this. Proposed, got business owner buy in, and implemented an overlay intake process increasing release velocity while decreasing production Service Incidents.
