Asking very pointed questions of the caller to determine exactly what information the caller wants or needs.

Making a determination as to whether the call should be handled by the customer call center or be referred elsewhere.

Researching the information either on the computer terminal or procedure manual.

Providing the caller with an accurate, clear, and concise response to their inquiry.
