I am a female adult Ugandan. I have a bachelor’s degree of arts in arts from Makerere University Kampala. I majored in organizational studies and minored in languages (Luganda).These equipped me with knowledge in different disciplines like Business administration, human behavior, elements of human resource management, dimensions of leadership and management, art of effective communication, just to mention but a few. I have a post graduate diploma in project planning and management from Uganda management institute which equipped me with more knowledge and skills in management of projects like planning,budgeting,resource allocation.implimentation,monitoring and evaluation just to mention but a few.

CREDIT MANAGER, POWER MICROFINANCE LIMITED 2020 TO DATE

Given the fact that am tasked to be responsible for business activities and initiatives that will yield into achieving the set goals, I carry out the following.

Maintaining a high quality and healthy asset portfolio for the branch at all times.

Supervising and motivating branch credit officers in order to attain the set goals

Ensuring adherence to institution’s credit policies and procedures.

Developing new businesses while ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.

Ensuring correct and timely appraisal of customer applications.

Developing staff skills through identifying their training needs when necessary,

Achieve set targets as far as profitability, asset portfolio and PAR are concerned.

Ensuring that there is growth in the number of actual and active sales representatives.

CREDIT OFFICER/ANALYST, POWER MICROFINANCE LTD 2013 TO 2019

The following were the key responsibilities that I undertook.

Ensuring mobilization and sensitization of clients in groups and potential individuals to increase the clientele base of power microfinance limited.

Inspecting, appraising and assessing the credit risk of clients within the power operations procedures,

Training and mentoring new loans officers.

Increase profitability, reducing operational costs and increase customer satisfaction

Preparing weekly and monthly progress reports which helped in increasing my performance

Carry out continuous market Controlling bad debt exposure and expenses

Educating clients on the variety of loan products and available loan products.

Continuously carrying out Intelligence market surveys.

Monitoring clients’ loan portfolio in line with the processes and procedure.

AREA MANAGER CREDIT INDIVIDUAL LENDING, BRAC UGANDA 2010-2012

From 2010 I was appointed to the above position where I served up to 2012.My duties and responsibilities included the following:

Controlling bad debts exposure, monitoring accounts receivable, determine credit ceiling, setting rating criteria, initiating legal or other recovery actions against customers who lack financial discipline

• Prepare Assessing credit worthiness of the identified clients by the credit officers in relation to the organizational credit procedures.

• Reviewing loan files to ensure compliance with the company’s credit policies then disburse and keeping them secure for future references

•Maintaining proper records of clients’ files that are under KIVA program and forward their profiles to the country KIVA coordinator for proper management of the program.

•daily, weekly and monthly reports, ensure monthly installments are realized and prepare reports for the whole area. : Iganga, Bugiri, Busia, Namutumba and Pallisa by following up their action plans and activities.

Supervising the credit officers’ work in the five operational branch offices namely workers at the branch office level through emphasizing team work and following the organizational rules, culture and policies for the better, encouraging them to have a to do list, breaking tasks down, giving the best time to the best activity, using the time effectively and being proactive

CREDIT OFFICER, BRAC UGANDA, IGANGA BRANCH 2008-2010

I was appointed to the above post in 2008 and executed my duties up to 2010.I was in charge of individual lending and my roles, duties and responsibilities were as follows.

Carrying out market surveys and identifying potential borrowers and knowing the rate for the same product from other competitors .Appraising and evaluating clients for credit services as per the company credit policies, background search and proving the ownership of the collateral and disburse the loans as they relate to the guidelines.

Follow up clients after loan disbursement to ensure repayment through regular monitoring and identifying the possibilities of bad loans.

Recommend measure for loan recovery through communicating with authority and the clients for the organization at the operational management level.

Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for the authority to make the analytical reports basing on the data and information given and know about the progress of the program at the branch. This would help me to know how effective and efficient I used the organizational resources, whether am operating in losses and then make corrective action for improvement.

ACHIEVEMENTS.

I was able to achieve a wealth of managerial skills, communication skills, leadership skills among others which I effectively harnessed for the overall growth of individuals and the institution. As a result I was recommended for seamless delivery of services based on clients’ feedback and rewarded with promotions and trainings.

OTHER TRAININGS

I trained in HIV/AIDS counseling and guidance at Makerere University hospital Kampala, I acquired knowledge and skills for caring for people with HIV/AIDS Such that they can live a prolonged life on the following:

Facts on HIV/AIDS,

HIV /AIDS prevention and care strategies

Basic counseling skills,

HIV/AIDS counseling and testing,

Nutrition in persons with HIV/AIDS and counseling in children.

At the Uganda Red Cross society, I acquired skills in HIV AIDS sensitization in communities and carrying out dissemination like in schools where young Ugandans are found mostly. This helped me in adapting

to the new environments, values like human values, being impartial and neutral where needed, working voluntarily and independently.
