Serve as Patient Representative for a free-standing, multi-disciplinary health clinic with a beneficiary population greater than 26,000. Exercise working knowledge of various regulations promulgated by the Department of Defense (DOD), Medical Command (MEDCOM) as well as Federal, State, and local laws applicable to health care services to assist beneficiaries. Thorough knowledge of the MEDCEN organization, functions chain of command, and policies and procedures of clinical, departments and services; and command objectives for the Patient Service Representative Program to develop methods and procedures for collecting, tabulating, analyzing and reporting on patient inquires and problems and to identify sources to contact to insure that all issues associated with a complaint are addressed and explained to the patient. This knowledge is also used to conduct studies of specific operations and procedures which are causing complaints to develop and present facts for the commander’s consideration for change. Receive and investigate written and oral complaints from patients who have minor, serious, or potential grievances or concerns.
