Working as a Human Resources Manager/Specialist, it has truly brought the best of both worlds. Being able to be at an executive level being able to initiate change and have a customer facing role that gives me the ability to really help employees have their concerns truly heard. Being the link between employees and their managers, having the ability to help them make changes needed to have the best collaborative working environment possible. Helped launch a brand-new building from the ground up. Assisted in cultivating new talent to specifically fit our buildings needs. Curated rooms for multi-cultural appreciation, and another for new mothers needing space to take care of their needs.
Day to day – Handled payroll issues and timecard errors. Employee issues, investigations. Ran new hire orientations, hosted multiple meetings. Meetings consisted of Deaf Roundtable, which allowed our Deaf or Hard of Hearing Associates a chance to discuss any issues or wins that they experience, Associate Fun Committee helped plan and create events for our building to come together to have fun and celebrate the team. Worked as an onsite manager for the Phoenix Convention Center. Hired and staffed anywhere from 25-125 people at a time.
