Publications

Wrote weekly column for Borden Citizen

September 1989

I wrote a weekly column for the Borden Citizen about the base riding club, of which I was a member for over 2 years. I owned 2 horses and boarded them at this stable, which was specifically for military members and civilian workers on the base. I worked in the mess halls at the time. I brought this up to the club president, who was all for the idea of bringing the riding club's activities to the attention of the residents of C.F.B Borden. We often attended community events with our horses to help raise money for various charities. We offered "pony rides" with our own horses, so I would cover these events as well as tell tales from our club and introduce our members in a weekly article. My column appear in the Borden Citizen for 2 yrs, until I moved my horses and myself away from Borden.
