Netaji Subhas University of Technology Aug 19 – May 23 Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology

EXPERIENCE

Software Engineering Intern – Vishwa Technologies Pvt. Ltd May 22 – Jul 22

- Worked on migrating non-relational databases and messaging queues of their Transport Management System to AWS.

- Designed and implemented a three DynamoDB tables to store non-relational data with high availability and throughput. Also configured the read and write capacity provisions along with Cloudwatch alarms for proactive identifications of any issues.

- Created a SQS queue to consume events into the TMS service. Implemented batch polling to save ingestion costs by 15% and improve processing throughput by 18%. Also created a DLQ and a redrive strategy to capture and reprocess messages with failures improving the system downtime from 2 hours to 10 minutes. Created IAM roles and policies for access control of all AWS resources. Software Engineering Intern – Machinecraft

Summer 2021 May 21 – Aug 21

- Designed a prioritization logic for inventory collection tasks using historical data of 5 years captured using movement scans.

- Designed and developed a database to store the tasks in queue and integrated it with the prioritization logic to determine the task priority in real-time when the inventory handler logged into the scanner.

- Implemented workflows for exceptions scenarios where a specific item was not found (indicating a physical virtual mismatch). Summer 2020 Jun 20 – Aug 20

- Developed a service to collect, store and visualize data of 16,000 scans captured on inventory moves from handheld scanners.

- Converted each scan into a JSON event and designed a schema for the event to capture the scanned location and item quantity.

- Implemented the logic to update the counts in the data stores to reflect the reduction in inventory based on the scan.

- Developed a UI to show the live counts of the current inventory and details of all scans for each item used from the inventory pool. RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

Research Assistant to Dr. Akshi Kumar – Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology Jan 21 – Dec 21 Sentiment Analysis Using Data Science

- Created a dataset of size 800 records and worked on an algorithm to detect humor in Hindi speech by using classification techniques.

- Implemented noise reduction filters that streamlined the input text, developed a pattern generator that categorized the words and created a data pipeline to allow the recognizer to train on real time text signals. Research Project with Dr. Devender Kumar – Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology A Light Weight Authentication Protocol Based on Cloud Computing. Aug 22 – Dec 22

- Analyzed various security attacks on an IoT based cloud environment such as Man in the middle attack and Insider Attack.

- Designed an improved protocol to protect against various attacks to which the environment was found vulnerable during the analysis phase and improved the time by 1.33 seconds and cost complexity by 4% where the existing protocol was used. SELECTED TECHNICAL PROJECTS

Web Based Visual Dashboard for Organ Transplants

- Implemented full lifecycle from scrapping data to creating visualizations for a dashboard where user can locate nearest transplant centers and compare them with all national centers. It supports 90,000 zip codes and includes map filtering & pixel animations. Data powered Web Platform – UNICEF Data Challenge

- Created a platform that obtained geographic data using Twitter & Nominatim API and visualized predicted poverty indexes.

- Implemented backend using Flask that interacts with the prediction model and frontend visualizations using D3. Robust and Reversible Watermarking

- Implemented a Robust and Reversible watermarking technique using time-stamp protocol for numerical relational database to enforce ownership rights, protect data from attacks and to recover original data. Analysis on Climate Change

- Used Berkley Earth’s Surface Temperature Data to study the recent rise in temperature and compared it with trends followed in the past 5 years. Designed interactive visualizations to clearly convey the criticality of the issue.
