Job title 05-2004\ 08-2003
Osborne Operator – I would be the first one to the line
and looked at production orders. I then would set up the
right cores and correct number of cores for each
production of various different products. Usually six to
eight different change overs. I had to have them lined up
accordingly for the job orders of each and every day.
I also relieved fellow co-workers for breaks in between
my set ups. I also poured iron on other side, after the
cores were set in bottom sand mold they got a top piece
to enclose it and it then needed iron poured into them.
I also hauled iron from boiler room to pouring line,
using forklifts to transfer and pour into ladles for pouring
iron into castings. On some days I would be in sub-
basement emptying containers of sand and iron slag from
under the Osborne an other large lines. ( Foundry )
