I had oversite responsibility of the health and safety management system of the Tamale wastewater treatment plant
Therefore, I had to do the following very quickly: o develop an HSE work plan for the plant;
o conduct a plant pre-operation risk assessment;
o institute a hazard tracking and risk control programme; o develop ISO 45001 standard documents for records, logs, plans, and procedures; develop
o safe work procedures for desilting underground tanks (confined space); develop safe work procedures for other high-risk activities like working in open tanks and working at height;
o develop emergency response procedures; and
o develop and institute a fire safety plans, response procedures, equipment inspection, and training. Thus, achieving the following
