Employment History
Current employment ( Sep2023 till date)
I am currently employed as a Consultant in the Department of Medical Oncology at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. I have undertaken all of my postgraduate training within the West Midlands including experience working at University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB). I have already taken up the busy Breast, Gynae and colorectal cancer practice at QEH and demonstrated my ability to run it efficiently.
During my training I developed a strong interest in Breast, Urology, Upper GI and Colorectal malignancies, and hope to set up my research in this area. I have had the opportunity to gain extensive experience in the management of all cancer sites both at UHB and other centres across the region. This has enabled me to appreciate new management approaches including personalised medicine and develop my own style of practice.
During my postgraduate training time working at UHB, I have developed strong relationships with my registrar colleagues, the oncology consultant body, oncology allied healthcare professionals and other consultants throughout the trust. I have always received excellent feedback from colleagues regarding my communication skills, teamworking ability, organisation and leadership style. I am hard-working and dedicated to providing high quality up to date clinical care and have a personality well suited to working in a busy, dynamic hospital environment.
