Experienced Document Control Specialist for multiple new Hyperscale Data Center Projects and for Moves, Adds, Retrofit, Change and Utility (MARCUS) Type Projects in an Operating Data Center environment as part of the Project Close Out process.. Developed and implemented the building audit program to ensure that the as-built drawings are accurate and represent company standards for all Data Centers. Developed a standard audit procedure, explaining the process, expectations and techniques to a successful building audit. Patrick is also very familiar with the importance of establishing strong working relationships with various stakeholders including; DCOPS, HWOPS, FM’s, design firms, contractors and vendors as part of the Document Control and Close Out process. Patrick has also served in the role of “Player Coach”, and has trained 4 new DCC's over the past few years.

CURRENT ROLE (January 2016 to present):

Provides Document Control support for multiple Projects to ensure that all projects are closed out in accordance with the clients requirements. In this role he works with all of the project suppliers; including but not limited to the General Contractor, subcontractors, design firms, equipment vendors and specialty vendors in order to ensure that they provide all required closeout documentation. In this role, he provides Project Management support for closing out projects by conducting meetings, project schedules, drawing research, and overseeing the auditing team. Updated as-built drawings to reflect site conditions using CAD and Revit. Participated with a team to establish department standards, procedures and policies for documentation management.

PAST PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Sachs Electric (2013 to January 2016):

Serves as document control manager to establish a move towards paperless processes to become more flexible and responsive to customer needs.Created a system to manage and track Requests for Information (RFIs) hyperlinking them to the Red-Line drawing rather than the paper-based system previously used. Serves as supervisor of a team to take Red-Line drawings from scanned, handwritten sketches to digital drawings using Bluebeam Revu, gaining recognition from construction management for accuracy. Ultimately he was asked to assume oversight of Red-Line drawings for all buildings Sachs constructed on site. Works with field electricians on digital circuit change form, allowing for better communication from the field, back to engineering, to ensure accurate red-lines. Formally reviews construction close-out & turnover documentation and routes it to the appropriate internal construction, facilities, and IT work groups for auditing and review. Maintains a physical & digital library for all Sachs construction documents such as As-builts, Change orders, submittals, install drawings, and Operation & Maintenance manuals. Created Operation & Maintenance tailored to site specific equipment.

Arcadis - Archivist/project Assistant Document Control Manager (2011-2013)

Served as a Processing Archivist and Project Assistant to implement the arrangement and description of various components of the IHNC-West Bank Pump Station and Surge Barrier projects with the US Army Corps of Engineers. Coordinated and provided professional knowledge and skills to process archival and document collections including the planning, organization, arrangement, and description. Organized documents and inputted data in various archival collections management systems. Coordinated and prepared daily archiving documents for review and coordinated with staff. Integrated and presented training manuals to staff for review and collaboration. Updated supervisors and technical staff on new archival materials for new acquisitions and unprocessed collections by creating, updating and enhancing finding ads, manuals and related sources of information through the use of established collections on management systems.

Data Management/Archivist HSDRRS, Task Force Hope, Mississippi Valley Division as a Contractor - (2010-2011)

As an Archivist/P6 Assistant I provided data management and archiving for the Hurricane Storm Damage Risk Reduction System (HSDRRS) (Katrina) a, $ 14.7 billion project. Reviewed, implemented, coordinated and provided additional support when needed by the supervisors. Analyzed information and requests presented by each Field PM from Task Force Hope, New Orleans District. These duties required knowledge of Oracle, Primavera and RMS. was able to increase my knowledge of the HSDRRS projects within Hurricane Katrina.

Quality Assurance Inspector and MIMS Inventory Management Specialist - HDR Engineering - (2009-2010)

US Army Corps of Engineers 1st Steel Warehousing Project in the history of the Corps for the Hurricane Storm Damage Risk Reduction System (HSDRRS) a $ 43.5 million project. I developed a high tech database system, called the Materials Inventory Management System (MIMS) to track all of the steel sheet piles. This system provided strict check-in and check-out monitoring, ordering, delivery, warehouse management and operations, and inventory tracking. One of my responsibilities was also to inspect the steel for product quality using a number of specifications. Using the MIMS data system I was able to coordinate the document preparation support with regards to the supply contractors, size, shape and length of the load for inventory tracking purposes and coordinate large quantities of needed documentation for each transaction both inbound and outbound.

Building Maintenance Manager - Holiday Inn (2008-2009)

Planned, scheduled, identified and coordinated with the General Manager the physical inventory of equipment, tools, supplies that needed to be replaced right away and those that could be ordered later in the month or year. Responsible for coordination of projects within the hotel concerning the electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, seasonal inspections and maintenance of pool and spas on the grounds.
