Education

Skills

I’ve worn many hats during my career as media worker. The first feature film I worked on was “Run to the Sea,” a religious film distributed by Gospel Films of Muskegon, Michigan, 1975. My credit was Key Grip. I spent 10 years working as a freelance Director of Photography for Lawrence Productions of Galesburg, Michigan, shooting hundreds of TV Spots in 35 & 16mm film. I’m familiar with most film production cameras from Panavision to Arri to Eclairs etc. As DP, I also directed the lighting of spots and other longer-form films. Most of my work these days is in digital video, but I always approach the project like a film shoot, I light like film and shoot like film. I’ve been doing all my own editing on Final Cut Pro since 2000. I consider myself advanced on that system as well as other complimentary programs in media making, such as, DVD Studio Pro, Soundtrack Pro, Motion, Photoshop etc.
