I am a skilled Mechanical - Electrical Technician with over 30 years in industry working as a millwright / welder / mechanic / electrician / electronic controls technician and with extensive Physical Plant and Plant Equipment Maintenance experience. I have a solid background in plastics processing and production machinery service; injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming and pelletizing, CNC machine shops and CNC manufacturing equipment, and manufacturing plants.

I am skilled with a wide range of tools and equipment that allow me to effectively diagnose machine and equipment issues to engage in proper repairs and in many instances, able to detect anomalies and perform service before a forced shut down of equipment. They include Vibration meter, FLIR camera, DVM’s; for AC and DC power. Proper use of these allows me to anticipate potential issues and respond accordingly to ensure safety and production is not impaired.

I am extremely safety conscious and strive to complete all work in a timely manner. My experience in many trades and disciplines: welding / fabrication / millwright / plumbing / electrical and administration / supervisory tasks, provides a well rounded knowledge base and skills that delivers results. Skilled to provide repairs and service to a wide range of equipment, not only machines specific to the manufacturing / production process, but also support / auxiliary equipment; HVAC / MUA, compressed air systems, lighting, plumbing, cranes and other shop equipment. My past work history of the last few years is not as solid as I wish it would be, but, considering how many people that have also lost their jobs, due to company closures to, or moving to off-shore operations, the opportunity of getting a full time and permanent position has dwindled dramatically. Contract – Investigate report and resolve Grinding Department issue with FEIN high speed Die & Angle grinders

- 400VAC 3 phase High Speed – 20,000rpm tooling. Excessive downtime and massive loss of production capabilities and incurred costs.

Identified with RCA protocols the primary and secondary issues – standard bearings had been used for repairs, max speed 4,800 RPM, causing premature failure and damage to rotating shafts, and subsequent damage to housing, bearing seats and stator winding assemblies.

Using machinist measuring tools and air gauges, validated Root Cause Analysis and with aid of FEIN Germany and Canada, established a full tool purchase and ‘core coverage’ for what was salvageable to FEIN standards. Tool replacement was a single PO of $45,000, bringing in all new tools and FEIN factory machined and balanced adaptors for 3” & 4” square tip grinding plugs – current one were not, causing excessive vibration and subsequent damage.
