BSL certification, follow up on abnormal lab results as requested by the provider, I have experience with assessing patient’s medical conditions via telephone, assisting with referrals and referring patients to the appropriate department for assistance. I also have experience with OB/GYN procedures such as colonoscopies, endometrial biopsies, monitor fetal heart rates and measurements.
I have about 15 yrs of experience with venipuncture and dermal sticks in the lab on pediatric, adolescents and adult patients. Using Standard Precautions to prevent the spread of infection while performing a venipuncture or dermal stick at all times. I also have experience with documenting all lab procedures as well as labeling and sending out the blood sample to the appropriate lab or location for testing. I have OSHA and HIPPA training, continuously for the last 18 yrs. I also have experience maintaining the medical record in regards to any procedure that has been performed. I have been trained with patient identifiers and all appropriate questions before beginning any lab procedure.
