Used SSIS to extract data directly from Misys Electronic Medical Record Systems and NextGen Electronic Medical Record Systems used by large practices and then loaded to Allscripts Enterprise EMR via TSQL cursor scripts. Loaded documents and images from various EMRs via file extracts. Images loaded using proprietary Allscripts Image Conversion tool to Allscripts Enterprise.
Used VB.NET data scrubbing routines in SSIS packages to clean file extracts.
SQL Server Management Console
Used SQL scripts to clean and check order result compendiums, provider, and clinical data type dictionaries including ICD9, CPT9 and Medication dictionaries based on Medcin codes. Created adhoc SQL reports for clinicians to revise dictionary mappings and created acceptance reports for patient and clinical data loads into Allscripts Enterprise.
Developed adhoc queries for querying Misys EMR AIX servers from SQL Server using Open Rowset T-SQL command including AIX meta data tables. This led to more efficient utilization of programmers effort for Misys EMR conversions.
