YOUTH LEADER June 2011 – June 2016
I Worked with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) of the Miami Valley in the afterschool program to share Bible stories and lead the kids through worship activities. I Worked alongside CEF staff to lead children in monthly Blitz community outreach activities. In the summer months, I hosted 5-Day Clubs at my house, as well as, at local community parks to reach children for Jesus Christ.
At Washington Heights Baptist Church in Centerville, OH, the following activities took place to grow in my Christian leadership. I taught Sunday School lessons to children in the first and second grades. A church curriculum was used to help prepare for lesson engagement.
I was a Vacation Bible School (VBS) teacher where I taught lessons with 1st through 8th Grade children and Youth.
I helped plan and prepare children for a church-wide Bible Bee competition that included various churches in our local area.
I was an AWANA teacher and leader where I taught Bible lessons to the 2nd and 3rd graders. My role was to assist the kids in learning Bible stories to help them grow in their faith in Jesus. Bible Games were played to help the kids learn Bible verses for memorization.
I worked as an AWANA Teen group leader with the 9th and 10th Grad teens. I used a Bible-based curriculum to plan and to teach. I planned community outreach activities to help the teens put their faith into practice. The teens were supported each week as they learned Bible verses. The teens gained points for the verses they learned and the accumulation of them recognized through them winning various awards and college scholarships.
At New Hope Church, I have written skits to help kids connect with various Bible lessons.
I developed praise and worship dance routines that are designed to honor and glorify God. This form of art in worship is to help children, youth, and teens understand how they can use their gifts to deepen their faith in creative ways.
