01/2010- 10/2018: WING DIRECTOR OF PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH: 118TH Wing, Nashville, TN (Civilian employee of OCI /Gold Belt who contracted with USAF then converted to TEMP GS with USAF/ANG): Term position ended 10/01/2018. I established the first Air Guard Psychological Health Program in the State of TN and provided consultation, assessment, education, brief counseling and referral services through a major transition of Mission Changes at the Wing. I developed power point presentations and provided training on Depression, Stress Management, Anger Management, Grief, Change Management, Anxiety, Sleep Hygiene, Alcohol, Substance Abuse, Resiliency, Pre and Post Deployment, and Suicide Prevention. Assisted in the establishment of one of the Air Guard’s first CAIB and IDS and participated in the planning and implementation of Four Wingman Program Days. I serve on the State Headquarters Suicide Prevention (R3SP) Task Force and Behavioral Health Work Group. I represent the Air Guard on the NAMI Veterans Council. I have developed a list of Preferred Providers in the Community through professional collaboration and research. I served on a monthly SARC Case Management team for a year providing clinical updates. I coordinate closely with the Chaplain Corps, the JAG, the Family Readiness Coordinator and now the Wing’s MRT in serving the Resiliency Needs of our Wing. I educate and provide services to the pre and post deployed Airmen at Yellow Ribbon events. I brief Airmen who are in processing and out processing. I provide briefings at Student Orientation. I provide clinical case management to high-risk airmen. I provide Bereavement Outreach and provided Suicide postvention activities. I serve on the J-9 team. I collaborate with Public Affairs for Behavioral Health Messages on the Internal TV Channel and past Wing Newsletters (wrote columns). DIRECTOR PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH PROGRAM ALABAMA NATIONAL GUARD CERIDIAN CIVILIAN EMPLOYEE—I established the first Psychological Health Program in the State of Alabama for the Air and Army National Guard traveling the entire state to provide Commander Consultations, Briefings, Command Directed Assessments, Voluntary brief counseling, and Assessments. I functioned on the first State Suicide Prevention Task Force and was selected to serve as one of the 12 Delegates for the Veterans Policy Academy Team representing Alabama in Washington DC. I planned and implemented one of the First Yellow Ribbon events in the country for the Air Guard and trained a pre and post deployed Army population of hundreds of soldiers in over 40 Yellow Ribbon Events.
