****-******* * **** **** a Manager/Accountant for my family business known as Bernie Nowak Inc., d/b/a West Fork Ranch in Philipsburg, Montana. My duties here have been numerous. They’ve included performing all accounting functions, preparing marketing material and communications, legal correspondence, investment evaluations and projections, real estate evaluations and promotions, job cost analysis, identifying and solving problems and managing business meetings with investors to name a few.

1994-2003 I was the Accountant for Hageny Logging, a private, small business that was in need of an inhouse accountant in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Here I performed all the tasks for a small business, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, prepared tax returns, payroll and job cost accounting. In addition, I handled things like licensing and insuring semi-trucks and providing employee health insurance and worker’s compensation. 1985-1994 I was a Managing Accountant Supervisor for Wipfli LLC, an Accounting Firm in Rhinelander Wisconsin. It was here working for Wipfli that I gained the vast and diversified knowledge in many aspects of accounting that I have today. My duties included all types of general ledger work, preparing financial statements, job cost accounting, payroll taxes, sales taxes, individual income taxes, corporate taxes, fiduciary taxes, non-profit reporting, auditing small business and utilities, and supervising other accountants in my department. 1982-1985 I was a legal secretary for Jack Owen, Attorney At Law in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. At this job, I learned many aspects of the legal process and how to draft legal documents. The main legal focus was on real estate, small claims, probate and divorce. On occasion, when the attorney was absent, I would appear in court in front of the Small Claims Judge to file motions. This was my first job out of college and it gave me a basis of knowledge in the law and legal matters that I have used many times moving forward in my Accounting and Management Career.
