As an Accounting Clerk 2, I performed varied clerical duties of functions to set up policies and procedures. My duties include assisting Accounts Payable clerk 1, processing invoices and payments for (100) vendors with Net 30 days. Using Procas systems, I will input the vendor account numbers, Purchase Order numbers and printing the checks. After the checks are sign by the Director of the school, I make copies of each check and attach this to the invoices, stamping paid with the date, mail it and copies will be filed away for our records in Alphabetical Orders. I am also assigned to give assistance to the Property Specialist at the warehouse two times a week. Accepting deliveries and doing inventories such as school supplies, student unforms, maintenance products for teachers and maintenance employees. I make sure that the quantities and correct items were received either partial or complete deliveries so myself and the other Accounts payable 1, will verify everything is accurate before paying the invoices. I will call the vendor to let them know that the items are either missing or broken, any back orders will have to be reported before sending the payments. Working with the Accounting Manager is also a plus. Selling and collecting money for lunch tickets from the employees. At the end of the week, I will balance the money collected and post in the journal using Excel, print the reports and sending the cash collected to the Manager for deposit to the bank.
