For the last 2 years I’ve been working at Goodland Regional Medical Center as the sole phlebotomist. I am in charge of entering and receiving lab orders, drawing blood and collecting specimens. I am also responsible for running waived test such as strep, flu, rsv, Hgc also urinalysis. I am basic life support trained. A few more things I am responsible for is going to our 2 local nursing homes to draw patients throughout the week and for monthly. And I also get the honor to train the MA students from the vo-tech at the end of each year for their clinicals.
