A little about me, I graduated college from West Valley College in Saratoga Ca where I was also a student athlete. I worked for a solar company since 2014 I started as a Lead installer. I have over 10,000 hours of work hours on the field.
My experience and work quality speaks for itself but I have many skill sets, I know roofing, solar, cement, landscape, electrical, project management, invoices, site surveys, communicating with homeowners, sales, project planning, communication, foreman and leading crews on a daily basis. I am a Foreman/ Supervisor/ Project Manager. I Make sure my team is handling there daily duties. Make sure pictures that are necessary for pay are taken. I make sure there work is always at the level of expectance. I make sure everyone at work is safe and strapped up with there safety gear. Coaching my team & setting expectations are part of my day to day, when expectations are not met the employees are written up / behavior is documented. disciplinary actions are taken. I Drive my team back and forth safely on a daily basis. I Collect checks from homeowners. I communicate with them making sure all of their needs are handled in a profesional manner. I Make sure the job check list is complete by the end of the day. I have all the responsibilities of making sure the crews are ran correctly and properly managed. I also know the job completely so I can teach anyone or train anyone. My job as well is the conduit making sure it looks great and it’s up by code by the plans, and I make sure it goes according to plan so we can pass inspections. I set up inspections talk to inspectors. I set up project deals and talk to homeowners about the Job and close deals. When I’m done in the office if I have time I go on the field and help the guys on the roof or the electrical guys as well.
I supervise and make sure we are all working together as a team for production to be fulfilled to meet general guidelines expected by my higher ups. I look for ways to save the company money in every aspect that I can.
I’ve been a crew lead for 4 years and a construction worker in every aspect for 10 years. and a project manager for 3 years and looking to keep pushing in project managing. I started solar in 2014 I started from the bottom as an installer and learned my way up ever since working with big solar companies. Before solar I was working in about many different projects like construction, trenching, landscaping, fencing and going to school at the same time. I can read construction plans and plan out a game plan very quickly and read people’s skills on the field. I’ve ran crews by of 4-6 crew members.
I’ve been the lead and then was promoted to project manager. I still do both project manage and sometimes on the field.
I am looking forward to keep growing my managing skills and learn whatever is needed to succeed as a project manager.
