Roles

Enforce Nevada Gaming Policies and procedures in the Casino. Dispatched over 30 Security Officers on property and in the Hotel Towers. Was assigned to several VIP escorts for major conventions and special guests every year. Performed duties during conventions such as checking credentials and securing audio/visual equipment and other assets belonging to conventioneers. Respond to medical emergencies to render First Aid/CPR on the property. Assisted the Fire Department and Paramedics with escorts to and from medical emergencies. Maintained and monitored the Security Surveillance system and Supervised 3 Officers in the Control room. Also, surveillance cameras are monitored to observe any suspicious activity and daily operations. As a report writer, I completed several hundred Security Incident reports during my tenure at the Bellagio. I was trained and certified in AED for medical emergencies, First Aid.

Assigned to Destroyer Squadron 2 which became my first unit in Florida as a Seaman then became a Boatswains Mate. Completed assigned training once a month at the Naval Operations Service Center.

Performed required Annual Training (AT), once a year in various locations such as, Rota, Spain, Sasabo, Japan, and aboard the USS Winston. Churchill in the shipyard to assist with maintenance.

Assigned to Cargo Handling Battalion 14 after relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada. Trained and performed duties as a shipboard Stevedore, Crain Operator. Annual Training on various cargo handling facilities in California, and at Cheatham Annex, and Yorktown, Virginia.

Received orders for my second deployment with a Navy Cargo Handling Inspection Battalion Forward Juliet.. Performed duties as a Duty Armorer in Kuwait during OIF/OEF. On a daily basis, serviced pistols, rifles and ammunition were checked out by service members so they could perform duties on and off base. Weapons inspections, cleaning and safety protocols were also performed.

First deployment for OIF/OEF as a Navy Customs Inspector with Navy Customs Inspection Battalion Forward Oscar. Inspected tanks, Humvees, and support vehicles after they were cleaned, before their transport to the marshaling yard off base. Performed duties as a bus driver for sailors transport to their work stations on and off base. Held posts at vehicle yard at the Port on Persian Gulf. Was assigned the Assistant Command Duty Officer. As the Command Duty officer, I drove to posts on base, Kuwait Naval Base and marshalling port, delivering water, and performing breaking for the other sailors.
