Work Experience

2008- 11/2023 Office Manager, Joint Action Committee for Political Affairs Highland Park, IL

● Organization comprised of three entities: a national PAC, a 501c4 advocacy committee, and a 501c3 foundation.

Responsibilities included:


● Developed and support Drupal website

● Design, develop, and distribute handouts, mailings, digital communications, posters, brochures, campaign pieces, event invitations, candidate profiles and more, often with a short turnaround time. Utilized a variety of programs including Adobe Creative Suite, MAC Preview, Constant Contact, social media, and more.

● Utilize Constant Contact and other online systems to create, design, craft, and send digital communications, including weekly newsletters, upcoming events, invitations, and action alerts.

● Draft new business cards, stationary, and brochures for team members.

● Using Adobe InDesign, track, layout, and publish a non-partisan voter guide for the 501(c)3 foundation to highlight key Congressional votes important to the American Jewish community.


● Draft mailings to membership, handouts for meetings, graphics for online communications, as needed using InDesign, Illustrator, and other software

● Create communications and maintain email list using Constant Contact, including creating, drafting, and editing weekly newsletter, action alerts, and event announcements; maintain best practices, monitor statistical data of email openings, bounces, unsubscriptions

● Draft, create, and publish weekly newsletter digest based on recent news events touching on organizational issues.

● Draft communications as needed to support executive staff

● Maintain and manage email list and segments over 10,000; create sublists and targets based on region, membership status, and other specifications utilizing Constant Contact

● Maintain image library in Constant Contact

● Provide research as needed on legislation, potential new software tools Office Management:

● Monitor, organize, and track all communications in accordance with FEC regulations

Nonprofit Experience

2016- Present Executive Director, Co-Founder, ACA Consumer Advocacy, Highland Park, IL Involved in the creation and development of a certified 501c3 advocacy organization committed to educating and activating members of the public on how to work with lawmakers to improve the U.S. healthcare system, working at the state and national levels.

● Create, plan, and lead informational programs for the public on recently introduced legislation, paths to health care reform, court cases, and movements both in-person and remotely

● Create shareable infographics for social media to alert people to actions needed, open enrollment dates, and more

● Joined with ACA Signup Project to promote awareness of Open Enrollment for marketplace plans in a campaign that reached over 2 million social media accounts over 5 months. Designed over 200 graphics used for this campaign, as well as flyers and handouts for each state in English and Spanish

● Created, designed, developed and maintain website, social media accounts, as well as saleable items for fundraising

● Maintain Facebook page of over 2,500 followers, keeping members updated on current news and legislative developments, upcoming events, action alerts, and successes

● Address consumer issues as needed in how to navigate our complex healthcare system, making referrals as needed for assistance

● Active member of several coalitions aimed at improving healthcare at the federal and state level, including the recent passage of active rate review and other consumer protections in Illinois
