Designers are still finding new and inventive places where they can belong. I believe in the power of design because of the way we look at problems. From the ground up we have our own methods of research, understanding and execution. A design education teaches you to think, to be able to work collaboratively and to keep teaching ourselves.

Following my passions in design I have found my skill sets with key interests in but not limited to, illustration, animation, UX/UI, logos and branding, iconography, music production, film, food design, gaming and game design. I have always gravitated to working with small startups where I can play a larger roll, and also where the risk reward is much higher. I am always eager to learn, collaborate, grow, and get my hands dirty.
Few of my jobs have impacted me as much as my time designing for Juniverse, an edutainment theme park for kids soon to be open in Qatar’s Festival City mall. Juni- verse’s story begins in the near future miles up above, a floating city in space. Every aspect of the experience had to be designed beginning with the logo and branding, story development, characters and mascots, toys and vehicles, loyalty programs, press packets, campaigns, and all the merchandise one can imagine. I was also a senior designer for Virtuocity, a theme park built around gaming which contains F1 racing simulators, escape rooms, gaming arenas, vip rooms and more. Here I worked on campaigns, logos and branding, game design, UX/UI, and much more.
In gaming I worked on Brazylia from wire-framing to character customization, and then through to production. An ancient card game, only localized and playable on your phone. I was lead design and oversaw the building process. In the world of Food & Beverage, I worked with my wife to open our own Pakistani Fusion food cart in Portland Oregon named Desilicious. Here I marketed on social media, worked customer service and front of house, prep cook and general handy man. We combined our knowledge of design with our love of food and produced a great product with twenty two five star ratings and never took a tip. Throughout I have taken on many different freelance and short term contracts. I enjoy the hard work of wearing many hats, have dealings with the client, and negoti- ating fees.
