Maintains routine performance check and calibration of laboratory equipment, both analyzers and non-analyzers and keeps record of maintenance
Performs basic troubleshooting, when necessary, all applicable instruments/ equipment in the laboratory in a proficient manner
Maintain a safe and clean work area by disinfection before and after work, and managing hazardous wastes/chemicals and disposing of potentially dangerous instruments or reagents accordingly
Exercise care and safety in handling infectious and biologically active specimen by wearing appropriate protective equipment (PPE)
Ensure monitoring, logging and proper storage of laboratory supplies to maintain quality and prevent wastage, or loss
Receive reagents/supplies delivered in the absence of the Stock Custodian, and inspect items delivered have valid expiration dates and lot numbers, and ensure proper storage to avoid spoilage, and maintain quality and integrity
Perform Quality Control in the tests done in different sections, and process unknown test samples for proficiency testing such as EQAS (External Quality Assessment Scheme)
Answers phone inquiries in relation to laboratory tests and patient preparation

I.Clinical Chemistry
Performs blood chemistry examinations including glucose (fasting, random, challenge test), lipid profile, blood urea nitrogen, blood uric acid, creatinine, SGOT/AST, SGPT/ALT, Troponin I, CK-MB, HBA1C,electrolytes,blilirubin, total protein, albumin, globulin, and enzyme analyses
