Description: - Each Remote Grid contains a set of PG&E electric customers who are permanently isolated from the traditional electric distribution system and connected instead to a generating facility called a Standalone Power System (SPS). Each Standalone Power System includes some distributed renewable generation (solar PV) and stationary storage (lithium-ion batteries) and may additionally include a firm generation source like a propane generator. Each Remote Grid site consists of a Standalone Power System (SPS) and a circuit connecting customersEDGIS will be enhanced to accommodate the new Remote Grid network. This is required to ensure traceable, verifiable, accurate and complete documentation in support of managing electric asset registry data for Remote Grid assets.
In the interim, the existing EDGIS features will be used to map a Standalone Power System.
This interim approach uses substation and service transformer asset types as a proxy for the required Standalone Power System asset types.
This SPS feature class will be communicated with different system SAP, DMS, CC&B and PSPS interface.
Responsibility: Primary responsibility to ensure design the proposed architecture that covers the various aspects like Non Functional requirements of systems like capacity, retention of data, security, high availability, disaster recovery etc.; this while ensuring functional requirements are met including integration requirements. These all while ensuring proposed solution aligns IT standards followed by organization. This includes upgrade of complex business and integration process to align with Remote grid business. Description:- There are approximately 60,000 transmission structures that have distribution underbuilds. These ~60,000 assets are shared by distribution and transmission but currently show up as separate assets in SAP, ETGIS and EDGIS, without an indication they are the same structure. This allows for inconsistencies with distribution and transmission potentially working on the same asset without knowledge of the other. We design the system for keeping the information updated when there are any updates made to a underbuild including updating or removing a underbuild as well as adding a new underbuild
This solution implementation delivered on AWS Cloud platform to integrate between ETGIS and Grid Search to provide delta updates to the Grid Search solution on daily basis. The solution proposes to track changes to the following ETGIS datasets (tables) and provide list of delta updates to be placed in dynamo db. Dynamo DB table would be referred by Grid Search to read delta updates and export the assets (and relevant details) associated with the updates.

Some of the key applications currently in progress are – Work and Asset Management, 10.6.1 upgrade, Gas Storage, Maximum Operating Pressure etc. This project will help the client to leverage the latest tools and techniques available in 10.6.1 version especially for generating reports after the analysis of the data such as leak incidents, pipe replacements etc. Also, the 10.6.1 version will provide a number of analysis tools by default and will help the client in analyzing the data by combining multiple scenarios. This project is based on offshore model where requirement validation, design and implementation are done at offshore and activities like GIS environment set-up, User Acceptance and Warranty Support will be done at onsite.
Responsibility: Responsible for leading the project team to upgrade the existing GIS landscape at Enbridge Gas from ArcGIS 10.2.1 to ArcGIS 10.6.1 platform.
