My son was born with the most common birth defect. He was born with a Congenital Heart Defect also known as CHD. Six months after his birth and right before what they call his full repair surgery, I started running to raise awareness for him and kids like him. I have been working closely with The Children’s Heart Foundation in any way possible to spread awareness about this condition that has no cure. I also started two Facebook pages in this same time frame. The main page FightJaxFight has over 3,000 followers and the other page CHDNation has over 1,000 followers. This is where my passion lies.
