Experience

•May 2003-April 2007 Leavenworth County EMS

I was hired at Leavenworth County Emergency Medical Service as a full-time field EMT-B. In August 2003, I was awarded a full-paid sponsorship to complete my degree and training as a Paramedic by my Administrators and the County Commissioners. I was then promoted to Paramedic in May 2005.

•April 2007-July 2007 Johnson County Med-Act

I was offered an opportunity to work as a full-time Paramedic with Johnson County Med-Act. I worked closely with Overland Park Fire Department as well as the Olathe Fire Department. During this time I became familiar with inner-city pre-hospital medicine.

•July 2007-April 2011 Leavenworth County EMS

I accepted a better employment offer with LVCO EMS. I successfully completed Tactical Medic School which was paid for by LVCO EMS. I continued to gain knowledge and experience as well as the additional responsiblity awarded to me as Field Preceptor.

•October 2011-November 2017 PRA Health Sciences

I was offered full-time employment with PRA Health Sciences as a Medical Research Associate II. I was promoted to a Shift Lead position in 2012. I was subsequently promoted to Clinic Training Coordinator in 2015 My responsibilities included coordinating all BLS and ACLS certifications, training for all study specific procedures and the training of new hires. I was in chharge of Hepatitis B Vaccines, Titers and TB testing. I was the designated OSHA representative for the clinic and was responsible for the annual inspections.

•October 2013-January 2017 Miami County EMS

I gained employment with Miami County EMS. I provided ALS care utilizing more advanced protocols such as Pericardiocentesis, TXA, Insulin, and antibiotic administration. I was a field preceptor for EMT, Paramedic and RN students. I was also asked to apply for Lieutenant.

•August 2017-January 2019 Shawnee Mission School District

I became contracted as full-time First aid/CPR instructor and EMR teacher for the Shawnee Mission School District. I helped estabilish the 2nd EMR program in the State of Kansas for high school students who were interested in a career in healthcare. I helped develop graduation requirements such as students' having to obtain their Heart Savers (BLS/AED/CPR) certification in order to receive their diploma.

•April 2019-Present Pottawatomie County EMS

I am currently employed as a full-time Paramedic with Pottawatomie County EMS. I provide BLS/ALS care to all county citizens as well as intra-facility transfers.

•December 2023-March 2024 Dr. Vince Clinical Research

I accepted a FT position with Dr. Vince Clinical Research as the Clinic Lead. I was responsible for ensuring that the the Clinic operated sucessfully.The responsibilites of the cinic lead included ensuring all staff and volunteers were accounted for and on time for all procedures, QA of all procedure dcumentation, maintain continuous ACLS coverage/care in the clinic, perform study procedures, Tx of all AE/SAE the allocation/coordination of esources and all/other duties as assigned.
