I have worked for Subway since I was a student in high school. I have been a loyal employee for almost four years. I have worked in the HR department and as a store manager for a year and worked as a shift lead for about two years previously before being promoted. My main responsibilities were reaching out to applicants and scheduling interviews with new hires, training said new hires, and taking care of paperwork, such as inventory, truck orders and deliveries. As well as making sure customers are well taken care of and satisfied, maintaining a healthy work environment for my team, and taking care of any dissatisfied customers. It was also a major responsibility for me to keep the work environment clean and sanitary as well as follow all necessary health codes and regulations.

Working at Starbucks I gained a lot of skillful knowledge about human interaction and decency. My main job there was not to prepare lattes or frappuccinos but my main goal there was to form customer connections. It was my job to make someone’s day better, I have carried that skill on into every other position I have worked since then. Besides forming customer connections, it was my responsibility to correctly prepare beverages, keep a perfect register, and follow all cleaning and sanitation policies to provide a clean environment for the guests.

I worked in the deli and bakery at Walmart, my main job was to work on the front-line attending customers, I sliced meat, decorated cakes, and prepared party trays. I also fried chicken and served from a hot bar. I cleaned constantly to maintain a clean environment for our guests considering I did work there temporarily during COVID-19. I prepared the prepackaged salads and sandwiches you find in the cold cases, I also prepared chilled chicken for those with EBT.

Lydall is a manufacturing company that mass produces fiberglass insulation parts made for all different types of vehicles. I gained experience working in a warehouse, working with large ovens and molds to create the specific parts needed per-order. Working at Lydall I was able to gain time management skills because we had to mass produce a certain amount of parts per-hour. I also gained experience with working in a somewhat introverted work environment because you worked as a team, but individually, not communicating with others, which is a great skill to have.

I am fresh out of beauty school; my goal is to be a full-time professional makeup artist. My plan is to start small and build from the ground up. I want to own my own business in the upcoming years. I have worked with makeup since I was a teenager around 15 years old, self-taught artist, with a cosmetology license to create and enhance natural beauty in my clients while maintaining all safety and sanitary regulations and procedures. I also am a hairstylist, and would like to offer facials, massages, waxing, and possibly even lash extensions in the future.

Sephora is one of the first retail oriented jobs I have worked. Working with Sephora I have the opportunity to learn about different makeup products that are available to help enhance every skin type and texture. It is a great place for a makeup artist to be able to see what types of products and tones help with all different ranges of skin tone, texture, and age. I also have the advantage of learning not only makeup but skincare as well. It's been a great help when deciding what ingredients and types of products will help target any skin concern my client has. My main job as a LBA is to perform makeup and facial services for sephora as a licensed cosmetologist. I have the opportunity to work with every type of face shape and skin texture out there, it's a great starting place for a recent graduate.
