Ngodwana Mill has been in operation since 1966 and has entered the dissolving pulp market in 2013.The mill produces paper pulp for its own consumption as well as newsprint, containerboard, and dissolving pulp. The mill also generates it own energy in the form of steam and electricity from renewable and other resources.
Tasks
oDaily plant routine inspection of designated section.
oRemoval and installing of centrifugal pumps.
oInstalling and maintenance of couplings.
oInstalling and maintenance of braking systems.
oRemoval and installation of paper machine rolls.
oInstallation of bearings dryer cylinders.
oPneumatic cylinder overall.
oMaintenance of isolating doctor blade holders.
oStrip and modify doctor blade holders.
oMaintenance of clutch and bellow drive units.
oAlignment of pumps and motors v-belt pulley drive.
oMaintenance of bellows and palm guides for screens on dryer cylinders.
oMaintenance of rope pulleys on the machine overhauling and modifying for production team.
oHead box vacuum boxes changing of the Teflon covers.
oVacuum separators maintenance on the drives.
oMaintenance on pressure screens and agitators.
oGearbox installation and alignment with line shaft and drive pulleys.
oSteam work on the machines include overhauling of rotor blocks steam valves and installing flexible steam lines, performing maintenance on steam lines and flanges include new gaskets and torquing of bolts after stoppage.
